PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: January 8, 2026

KV Custom Windows + Doors (“KV,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you visit kvcustomwd.com (the “Site”) and use its features, including Find a Dealer and Download a Product Brochure.

1) Where we operate

KV operates solely in Ontario, Canada. The Site can be accessed from other locations, but our business operations and authorized dealer network are intended for Ontario.

2) What personal information we collect

A) Information you provide

  • Find a Dealer: We may collect the postal code/city you enter to display nearby dealer results.
  • Contacting KV: If you contact us by email, phone, or through a site form (if present), we collect the information you choose to provide (e.g., name, email, phone number, and message details).

B) Brochure downloads (no email required)

Brochure downloads on the Site do not require an email address. When you download a brochure, we may still collect limited technical data automatically (see below).

C) Information collected automatically

When you use the Site, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address, device/browser type, operating system, pages viewed, time spent, referring pages, approximate location (derived from IP), and timestamps
  • Diagnostic and security logs
  • Cookie identifiers and analytics signals (see “Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking”)

3) How we use personal information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide Site functionality (including dealer search results and brochure downloads)
  • Respond to inquiries and support requests
  • Maintain security, prevent fraud/abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Improve the Site (performance, content, and user experience)
  • Maintain appropriate business records as needed

4) Dealer-only sales model

KV does not sell products directly to consumers. Purchases are made through authorized independent dealers. Dealer pricing, contracts, installation, scheduling, and service policies are set by the dealer and governed by your agreement with that dealer.

5) Cookies, analytics, and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to help the Site function, measure performance, and improve your experience. This may include:

  • Essential cookies (required for core Site functions)
  • Analytics cookies (to understand how visitors use the Site)

Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect information about Site usage (e.g., pages visited, session duration, interactions). Google may process data on servers outside Canada.

Meta Pixel (possible): We may use the Meta Pixel (or similar tools) to understand the effectiveness of advertising and to deliver more relevant ads. If enabled, Meta may receive information such as your IP address, device/browser information, and events such as page views.

Embedded maps: If we embed maps (e.g., to help locate dealers), the map provider may receive technical information (such as your IP address and device information) when the map loads.

Your choices: You can control cookies through your browser settings and, if a cookie consent banner is present, through the preferences tool. Disabling certain cookies may affect parts of the Site.

6) When we share personal information

We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site and business systems (e.g., hosting, IT support, analytics providers)
  • Legal or regulatory authorities if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of KV, our users, and our systems

We do not sell your personal information.

7) Third-party links (including dealer sites)

The Site may link to independent dealer websites or other third-party sites/services. Those third parties may collect information under their own privacy policies. KV is not responsible for third-party privacy practices.

8) Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
